For you hiking enthusiast there is one hike in Sedona you must not miss. One of the most scenic places in Sedona, but it is also one of the most challenging hikes.
Jerome is a city with great American history, an old mining town established in the 1800’s. We had the opportunity to visit Jerome and learn all about the amazing successes and the difficult times this town went through to become the ghost town it is today!
So this one is Herb’s very favorite off road Jeep trails. This was what they would consider moderate to hard. We had spots where the back of the Jeep bottomed out it was so great!!!!
It was day 2 with the Jeep, and we decided to break it up with some off road trails, and some winding roads. About 12 miles north of Sedona, on Route 89A, there is a lookout point on the right side.
We decided to split our travel time to Sedona over two days, so we found a unique Harvest Host at the halfway point, in Fence Lake, NM. This one was an Alpaca Ranch.
The first big destination on our trip was Carlsbad, New Mexico which is in the southern part of the state. Have you ever been to New Mexico? A LOT of dust, everything is brown and VERY dry.
Following our visit to the Carlsbad Caverns, we went for a hike in Guadalupe National Park which is in Texas. The trail was Smith Spring Trail, a 2.4 mile hike.
Everyone dreams of the magical fairytale wedding in a special far away romantic destination. Imagine your wedding at a 1,000 year old monastery in the countryside of Tuscany Italy in the fall, with all the hills alive with vineyards dressed out in reds and yellows like a blaze of fire.
Our visit to Traveler’s Cellar Winery was absolutely wonderful starting with the ride off the main highway, through the rolling hills and countryside to get there.
