Roswell, NM – May 5th, 2021

Yes…LOL…we did the “alien” thing. We went to the UFO Museum and Research Center in Roswell, NM. “The International UFO Museum And Research Center is located in Roswell, New Mexico, United States, in the downtown district, and is focused largely on the 1947 Roswell Crash and later supposed UFO incidents in the United States and elsewhere.” (Insert picture Museum Sign)

Some interesting data in articles displayed in the museum bring to light some of the possibilities of alien encounters. The museum is laid out to show how the labs were set up back in the day. The articles on the walls are interesting to read and research. The rest of the museum is rather gimmicky. Of course they had a Ghost Busters and Star Wars display, but they missed out on the Star Trek display. If you’re into aliens and such, it’s got good articles. If you’re just inquisitive, it may not be your thing. (Insert pictures Medical Room, Alien in Tube, Alien TV Set Action and Star Wars)

We wanted to visit Hangar 84, at the former Roswell Army Air Field, where they housed the spaceship, but the tours were all sold out. That may have been of interest. Maybe next time, if there is a next time.

The rest of the town carries the alien theme throughout and utilizes the theme to benefit commercial sales type things. It’s a place to stop if you’re passing through, but not a day trip by any means.

One last bit of information, if you love Mexican food, Geli’s Café is the place to go! As always, we like to check in with Google to find restaurants, and Geli’s definitely lived up to it’s reviews. It was a little off the beaten path, in a shopping center, and you could tell it was filled with the “locals”. Hey…if the “locals” go there, you know it’s the place to eat traditional Mexican food.
